On Tuesday on Tuesday, the San Diego Press Club Excellence in Journalism Awards took place in Balboa Park. During the event, the newspaper was presented with six awards which included the top neighborhood news site. From the submissions that earned first place, contributing photographers Chris Stone and Contributing editor Ken Stone, a married pair who hail from La Mesa, collected and prizes for their photography, reporting as well as video-making skills. The two of them collaborated on two totally different projects. Chris Stone took first place in every of the three different types for still-news images. Lastly, Chris Jennewein of Del Mar, editor and writer of the -year-old site has been awarded an individual first-place award for his campaign
. It is an honor for Times of San Diego to be named as the top news source inside San Diego for the sixth time. Thanks to Ken, Chris, JW and the total staff, Times of San Diego continues to entice new readers, and also obtain expert recognition
. The employees of the San Diego Union-Tribune and contributors presented three men with special honors for their accomplishments in news PR, journalism, and media administration. For example, CBS reporter Steve Fiorina received the Harold Keen Award for Outstanding Contribution to Journalism, the binational PR director Jorge D’Garay received the Andy Mace Award for Outstanding Contribution to Public Relations. Lastly, the former KGTV Chief Assignment Editor Brad McLellan received the Jim Reiman Award for excellent media Management
. The Times of San Diego is proud to announce that it has received first place in all three different types inside vice’s program. The Times of San Diego employees has received the category of news sites Chris Jennewein claiming first place. Jennewein was again awarded the award for election protection in his story, “Voter Guide: San Diego County and State Races during June Primary Election”. And in the essay/commentary/opinion category, Jennewein received for his article “Newspapers Squandered Their Monopoly-Era Profits and Now Blame Google and Facebook

. We can all be taught from one another
. Honor Flight is a worthy cause. Honor Flight programme is a noble one and it’s heartwarming to see the tales of folks who have participated in it. There is however one main omission from the program – female veterans. Though it’s unlucky it is not attainable to find enough ladies veterans prepared to take part in the whole flight of honor that doesn’t make them much less significant. Honor Flight is an great technique to honor our veterans, and we must stay in support of it
